“Erin is a powerhouse candidate who launched a pedestrian safety movement after a string of fatal crashes in her city. A practicing veterinarian and volunteer SCUBA diver, Erin’s fighting for safer streets, sustainable transit, and a climate-ready Salem.

"She is a climate champion, and we support her in her campaign for the Ward 1 City Council seat in Salem."

Salem Ward 5 Councillor, 2012-2022

“I’m writing to give my strongest possible endorsement to Erin Turowski in her run for Ward 1 City Councillor. I’ve known Erin for five years, and she is dedicated to the city and everyone within it. She’s an advocate for the walkers and cyclists who need to travel safely around town, and she is an open-minded person who will listen to everyone and make sure all voices are heard. As a former Ward Councillor, I firmly believe Erin is the kind of person we need more of in our government – people who will listen and work for everyone’s best interests.”

314 Action Fund

Salem Ward 2 Councillor, 2018-2021

“Erin’s heart is rooted in service. In addition to serving on our Transportation Commission to make Salem's streets safer for everyone, Erin devotes much of her time volunteering in city-wide cleanups and other community events. As a Councillor, Erin will be an effective problem-solver and has already made an impact by co-founding Salem’s Safe Walking Advisory Group (SWAG) to drive advocacy and results around pedestrian safety. I heartily endorse Erin Turowski for Ward 1 Councillor, because she will be the kind of hardworking public servant who knows to think globally and act locally."
